Health and app data we collect. When you use the Allerwell app, we collect the information you provide to power its features: your
  allergy and intolerance preferences, dietary profiles (including profiles you create for family members), food and menu scans
  (including photos you upload), meal and nutrition logs, goals, favorites, and optional details such as height, weight, date of
  birth and gender. Allergy and dietary information is health-related data. We process it only with your explicit consent and only to
  provide Allerwell's features, such as matching foods against your allergy profile. You can update or delete this information at
  any time in the app, and deleting your account permanently removes it.

  AI-powered features. Allerwell uses third-party AI providers (such as Google Gemini, Groq, Perplexity, xAI and DeepSeek) to analyze
  the food items, menu images and food-related questions you submit, and to return ingredient and nutrition information. Only the
  content needed to answer your request (for example, the menu photo or food name) is sent to these providers  not your name, email
  or account details. These providers process this content on our behalf to deliver results back to you.

  Connecting Allerwell to AI assistants (optional). You can choose to connect your Allerwell account to third-party AI assistants,
  such as ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Claude (Anthropic), so the assistant can answer questions using your Allerwell data. This connection
  only happens when you explicitly sign in and approve it on our consent screen, where you also choose which profiles to share.
  Connected assistants receive read-only access to the data categories you approve  your profile, allergy and dietary preferences,
  scan history, logs, favorites and goals. They cannot change or delete your data.

  Once you connect an assistant, information it retrieves from Allerwell is also handled under that assistant's own privacy policy

You can disconnect an assistant at any time from the assistant's own settings or by contacting us at support@allerwell.tech; disconnecting immediately invalidates its
  access. We never share your data with an AI assistant you have not connected, and we never sell your personal information.
